I started basically at the bottom like a lot of guys. I walked into a book, got an interview and started writing tickets, which is basically the first way you can kind of learn a lot about the business. You know, what people do in there and how they bet, what they do wrong and what they do right. It’s a good business to really start at the bottom because you really learn everything, I feel like from your way there through the ranks to supervisor and manager and what not. For me it’s been pretty wild journey.
It’s funny, as a fan I’m really into the fights and the NBA has become a big thing with me as far as enjoyable. But it’s funny from a betting standpoint, I’ve been very much into fantasy football for a really long time. I’ve actually done pretty decent for myself here and there at the NFL, which is a really tough market, but, when you look for certain things you know, second half totals, player props, there’s so many different things you can get your hands on that you can find and do some decent stuff. I’d say I’m a lot better at booking UFC and boxing than I am at actually betting it. So, I don’t step out as much on those as much as I will in like NFL and every now and then an NBA game. I’m very conservative when I bet NBA games though I might bet like once per month.
